How long has Tasman Health & Herbs been in business?
Since October 2014, and we’ve been part of the Community Health Stores group since its inception in April 2016.
What is the best thing about being part of the CHS Group?

help your customers?)
Group sharing of knowledge; its not just my staff and myself but accessibility to all of the other health stores’ knowledge, which we can then share with our customers.
Tell us about your location. What do you love about being based
Tasman, and in particular the Nelson Bays, is such a beautiful area of New Zealand. We are lucky to be close to beaches, rolling hills, mountain biking trails and much more…still with all the benefits of a small city.
What is the best thing about your job? What gets you up in
Being able to help people in a tangible way. Our regular customers are a group of diverse interesting people. It is
a privilege to know them and to help make a difference.
Tell us about your team. Why are they so special to you?
Gail and Jacqui both have that innate desire to help others.
They both have years of experience in a heath store environment, having completed training in diverse disciplines
are very knowledgeable. They both always go the extra mile
to make help our customers get what they need.
Why do customers keep coming back to your store?
I am quite sure that our friendly staff and service is the number one reason. Other than that, the staff knowledge and variety of stock: everything from superfoods to homeopathic remedies. Plus the great service offered in store with our herbal dispensary run by our registered Medical Herbalist and Clinical Nutritionist, Krista Eaton.
How does your store support your local community?
We sponsor lots of local activities. We support local schools
and help disadvantaged children to attend special events.

Stress and anxiety play a big part in today’s society. What tips
or advice can you offer our readers to help combat stress?
Listen to your body, eat nourishing food and get enough sleep. Make sure you take some time for yourself to recharge each day. Say no sometimes; we don’t have to be available to everyone all the time.
Are there any particular supplements or products you
Everyone is an individual, so with that in mind we stock a variety of quality supplements, functional and organic foods, organic essential oils and herbal and other remedies, plus natural body care and beauty products. This way we can assist our customers choose the best products to help them in their health journey.
